The JP377 Sterling is suitable for professional players who are looking for an instrument made to the highest standard, that is easy blowing and has clear and perfect intonation. The JP377 Sterling will fit in nicely in any musical set up, from sitting at the back of a top section brass band, large orchestral work, or small ensemble chamber music.
The JP377 Sterling is constructed from high grade brass (80:20) ensuring the instrument is both durable whilst improving sound quality. The large 19 bell also helps contribute towards an improved sound quality and increased acoustic projection. The instrument features a carefully configured fully compensating system ensuring that accurate tuning and and alternate fingering is possible.
The JP377 Sterling comes supplied with a mouthpiece, an Ultra-Pure Maintenance pack and a hard moulded plastic case with wheels. These impact tested hard cases ensure your precious instrument is kept safe whilst providing ease of mobility with hard wheels and an ergonomically placed handle.
The finish is excellent throughout the range and there is a very well planned and executed progression in quality and responsiveness from entry to professional level. The quality finish and setup of the new JP377 Sterling EEb tuba is second to none. The sound is big and round and intonation is easily controlled at all dynamics and in all registers. The valves are great " well machined, and with a quick action. The Tuba blends nicely in both the lighter and heavier orchestral repertoire, while playing with the Woolston team, the Sterling EEb Tuba blends smoothly and easily produces the solid platform required by the band
